Job summary

CSL Vifor Akron center is seeking a medically licensed professional to evaluate donor suitability for pheresis, administer immunizations, and provide emergency care. You will conduct donor interviews, respond to medical questions with the Center Medical Director, and ensure accurate documentation in the donor information system.

The role requires licensure in paramedicine, nursing, PA, or MD/DO (foreign trained with license) and at least one year in a health care setting; experience with plasma

Qualifications

• Active state licensure from paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, naturopathic program or medical school.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a health care environment or clinical setting.
• Experience in plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Administer approved immunizations other than red blood cell immunizations and provide emergency medical care.
• Promote positive donor relations and conduct confidential donor interviews.
• Coordinate with Center Medical Director/Physician on medically related questions for staff.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system.
• Explain informed consent and donor immunization schedules to applicants.
