Job summary

CSL Plasma in El Paso, TX is seeking a Medical Donor Center Specialist to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis, administer approved immunizations, and provide limited emergency medical care. Qualifications

• Active state licensure in paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, naturopathic training program or medical school is required.
• Foreign medical graduates must be licensed as a physician or certified as an EMT in the state to qualify.
• Minimum one year in a healthcare setting or clinical experience from vocational/nursing training is preferred.
• Experience in plasma or whole blood collection environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and administer approved immunizations.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Conduct confidential donor interviews to gather information on suitability to donate plasma.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Promote positive donor relations and educate donors about immunization schedules and risks.
