Job summary

CSL in Laredo, TX is seeking a qualified medical professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.

You will interview donors, review medical histories, respond to questions with the Center Medical Director, assess test results, and escalate critical cases to physicians as needed. Requires licensing and healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must hold active physician licensure or state EMT certification.
• For NY postings, current state licensure or certification (RN/MD/DO) in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff in accordance with licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation eligibility.
• Coordinate with Center Medical Director to answer medical questions about donor suitability.
• Review test results and monitor donor safety; refer for follow-up if needed.
• Notify and counsel donors about reactive test results and arrange referrals as necessary.
• Follow SOPs and escalate complex medical situations to the Center Physician or local providers.
