Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic program.
• Foreign medical graduates must have current physician licensure or EMT certification as applicable.
• For NY: must hold RN/MD/DO licensure or reciprocal state.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare experience.
• Experience in plasma/whole blood collection center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff in accordance with licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• Coordinate with Center Medical Director on donor suitability questions.
• Review test results and assess continued donor suitability; address donor symptoms.
