CSL is seeking a medically qualified professional to support donor screening and safety at our Texas plasma center. Under supervision, you will evaluate donor suitability, provide limited emergency care, conduct donor interviews, and review test results to ensure ongoing safety.

The role requires up-to-date licensure or training and a minimum of one year in healthcare, preferably within a plasma or blood collection setting. Evening/weekend shifts may be involved as needed.

Formación

• Minimum of one year relevant experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to make and analyze a physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication or treatments in accordance with licensure or certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to obtain necessary information to determine suitability to donate plasma.
• In conjunction with the Center Medical Director, respond to medically related questions and provide information to staff on donor suitability.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms that may result in the inability to continue donating.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer donors to community facilities for follow-up and counseling.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical medical situations to Center Physician or local medical service providers as required.
