CSL is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, review medical history, and collaborate with the Center Medical Director on donor safety and suitability.

The role requires professional licensure and experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in plasma/blood collection settings.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, must also be licensed as a physician or certified as an EMT.
• For NY: current state licensure or certification as an RN, MD or DO in the applicable state or reciprocal state.
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to make and analyze a physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication or treatments per licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• Consult with Center Medical Director on donor suitability and respond to medically related questions.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms affecting donation.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer donors for follow-up and counseling.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical medical situations to Center Physician or local providers as required.
