Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• For Centers located in CA, CPT I certification OR CA RN status required.
• Other qualifications may apply per local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and pheresis procedures following SOPs.
• Set up donor, monitor during donation, and disconnect donor.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information system.
• Educate donors about the process, policies, nutrition and fees.
• Monitor donors for reactions and assist staff as needed.
• Use PDA to document incidents during pheresis.
• Calibrate and verify maintenance; respond to equipment alarms.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and manage replacements.
• Maintain donor flow, ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
