Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to collect plasma via pheresis, monitor donors, and ensure safety per SOPs. You will educate donors, document data on the PDA, and maintain equipment while upholding strict health, safety and OSHA guidelines.

The role requires accurate venipuncture, vigilance for donor comfort, and the ability to work in a fast-paced plasma center environment. Training is provided, with potential cross-training in related areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• External candidates must have at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience; 12 months in medical/healthcare preferred.
• Internal CSL employees must have completed CSL Plasma DST training.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedures including donor setup and monitoring.
• Conduct venipuncture to initiate pheresis per SOPs.
• Evaluate vein performance and adjust to ensure donor safety and efficient donations.
• Educate donors about the donation process, policies, and nutrition.
• Monitor donor reactions and assist or escalate as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using a PDA and electronic system.
• Maintain equipment and assist with alarms or maintenance as required.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and report supply needs.
