Takeda is seeking a part-time plasma donor screener and phlebotomist at our Joliet, IL center. You will greet donors, perform vital sign checks and finger sticks, and ensure donor safety while keeping precise records.

The role involves using the Donor Information System, coordinating donor compensation, and supporting center operations. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required, with potential for ongoing training and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays required.
• Prolonged glove wear due to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ year in customer/patient-facing role helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 32 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for center process improvements and initiate changes using approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
