Job summary

Takeda is seeking a part-time plasma donor screener and phlebotomist in Joplin, MO. You will greet donors, perform venipuncture, program plasmapheresis equipment, monitor donors, and handle setup and troubleshooting of machines.

The role supports the plasma center operations and requires a high school diploma with relevant customer-facing experience. You will work evenings/weekends/holidays, stand/walk the full shift, and handle glove use due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in customer or patient-facing roles.
• Able to walk/stand for the full shift and lift up to 50 lbs on rare occasions.
• Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens requires glove wear during many tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and program plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal of materials.
• Record donor measurements and enter data into the DIS.
• Coordinate donors to the donor floor and manage compensation via Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational improvements using Kaizen and related methodologies.
