Job summary

CSL Plasma in Illinois seeks a Plasma Collection Technician to perform pheresis procedures, donor setup, monitoring and disconnect in accordance with SOPs and FDA guidelines.

The role involves venipuncture, donor safety, sample collection, data recording in the donor information system, equipment troubleshooting and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Occasional cross-training, possible bilingual requirements, and overtime may be needed to support center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• External candidates must have at least 6 months experience as a phlebotomist; 1 year preferred.
• Minimum 12 months of experience in a medical/healthcare environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedure and donor monitoring per SOPs.
• Conduct venipuncture to start pheresis process.
• Ensure donor safety and product quality; manage donor flow and records.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
