Job summary

CSL in Cleveland, OH seeks a qualified healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and provide limited emergency care to donors and staff. The role requires active state licensure in a relevant field or foreign medical degree with current credentials, plus healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, naturopathic training program or medical school.
• Foreign medical school graduate with current physician license or EMT certification in the state.
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience or clinical training.
• Experience in plasma or whole blood collection centers preferred.
• Ability to perform and analyze physical assessment of heart, lungs, and related signs.
• Ability to instruct donors and staff about plasma donation benefits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
• Promote positive donor relations.
• Conduct confidential donor interviews for suitability.
• Respond to medically related questions with staff and donor information.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic system.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness per SOPs and OSHA/HSE policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
