Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a medically qualified professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to administer immunizations other than RBC vaccines. The role includes providing limited emergency medical care to donors and staff, performing health assessments, and ensuring donor data is accurately recorded in the electronic system.

Responsibilities include counseling donors on test results, explaining informed consent, and coordinating with the Center Medical Director

Qualifications

• Active licensure as paramedic, nurse, PA, chiropractor, naturopathic clinician or medical school graduate.
• Minimum of 1 year in health care setting or clinical experience from training program.
• Experience in plasma/whole blood collection center or regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to assess physical exam findings and donor suitability.
• Ability to instruct donors and staff on immunization programs and donor education.
• Local legal/education requirements may change qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Administer and supervise approved immunizations other than RBC immunizations.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Promote positive donor relations and conduct confidential donor interviews.
• Respond to donor medical questions with Center Medical Director/Physician.
• Record donor data accurately in electronic management system.
• Maintain safety and SOP compliance; manage immunization programs.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed; support organizational needs.
