Job summary

CSL Plasma in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a full-time plasma donation technician to perform pheresis procedures, donor setup, monitoring, and disconnect. The role requires venipuncture, donor vein assessment, and education of donors about plasma products and center policies.

Responsibilities also include recording donor data in electronic systems, watching for donor reactions, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and courteous donation experience for all participants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 18 months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Specialized medical or phlebotomy training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedure and plasma collection with donor setup and monitoring.
• Conduct venipuncture to begin pheresis process in accordance with SOPs.
• Evaluate donor vein performance and make adjustments to expedite donation and ensure quality.
• Educate donors on donated plasma products, screening, and center policies.
• Record incidents and donor data using PDA and electronic management systems.
• Monitor donor flow, assist with reactions, and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
