BioLife Plasma Services in Roanoke, USA, is seeking a part-time Plasma Donor Screener and Phlebotomist to support plasma center operations. You will screen donors, perform phlebotomy, record vital signs, and manage donor charts using our Donor Information System.

The role requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, standing for long periods, and lifting light to moderate weights. A high school diploma is required, with prior donor-facing experience helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, 90% of tasks require glove wear.
• 1+ years experience in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsabilités

• Answer phones, greet and focus on our donors, ensuring safety of donors and team.
• Screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
