Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a Plasma Center Technician responsible for donor eligibility, plasma collection, and product processing while ensuring strict regulatory compliance and donor safety.

The role requires setup and operation of plasmapheresis equipment, accurate recordkeeping, and adherence to SOPs. Strong customer service skills and ability to handle biohazardous materials are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or higher.
• 3 months’ experience in clerical or customer service preferred.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP) to maintain production standards and facility compliance.
• Maintain high levels of customer service, donor confidentiality, and positive donor experience.
• Monitor donor conditions and perform eligibility assessments (vitals, microhematocrit, total protein testing, donor registration) for safety and quality.
• Set up, prepare, and operate automated plasmapheresis equipment; respond to alarms, troubleshoot alerts, disconnect donors after procedure.
• Perform plasma collection and processing, including sterile products, sample handling, freezer organization, and shipments per SOPs and transport rules.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures, report malfunctions, document variances.
