Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Minnesota (Mankato) is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations under the Center Manager and Center Physician. You will assess donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review laboratory results, and notify donors of test results in line with SOPs.

You will also assist with vaccination programs, donor safety, and EHS initiatives, leveraging clinical experience and active licensure to ensure compliant, high-quality patient and donor care.

Qualifications

• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN) with CPR/AED.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist should be satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, and donor history.
• Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results.
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results following SOPs.
• Evaluate donor reactions and coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs for guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and assist EHS in incident management; may serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
