Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Houston is seeking a plasma donor screener who will perform phlebotomy to support center operations. You will greet donors, screen new and repeat donors, and ensure safety and accurate record-keeping.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the Donor Information System used daily; the center offers comprehensive benefits including medical/dental, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and other well-being programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Lift up to 5 lbs; occasional lifting up to 32 lbs; rarely 50 lbs.
• Glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ year in a customer or patient facing role

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors and focus on donor safety.
• Screen donor eligibility and record vital signs and finger sticks.
• Prepare donor charts and coordinate donor compensation in the Donor Information System.
• Identify operational improvements and implement center process changes.
• Work variety of shifts including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
