Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Houston, TX is seeking a part-time plasma donor screener and phlebotomy assistant. You will greet donors, screen them, record vital signs, and support center operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position emphasizes customer service and accuracy in donor information systems, donor charts, and compensation records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs and occasionally up to 32 lbs, rarely 50 lbs.
• Glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
• 1+ year in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System; prepare donor charts; maintain records; coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using approved procedures.
• Work various shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
