Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Center Manager candidate to oversee daily plasma collection center operations in Texas. You will ensure donor safety, regulatory compliance, and production goals while leading frontline staff and acting on behalf of the Center Manager when absent.

You will manage scheduling, training, and performance, collaborate on budgets, and drive efficiency, quality, and donor satisfaction. Experience in cGMP and plasma or blood is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Science, Business, Nursing, Finance, or related field.
  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience in clinical or general business experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in a medical and/or cGMP regulated environment preferred.
  • Experience with plasma or whole blood preferred.
  • Developing command of leadership, organizational, customer service, interpersonal communication, and computer abilities.
  • Ability to understand and assess FDA regulations.
  • Ability to maintain adequate levels of plasma collection and adhere to quality standards.
  • Ability to motivate staff to achieve established goals and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operational performance of the plasma collection center.
  • Ensure donor safety, regulatory compliance, production goals, center performance, and profitability.
  • Provide direct leadership to frontline donor-floor staff and act on behalf of the Center Manager when absent.
  • Manage the center independently for days at a time when required.
  • Collaborate with Training and Quality staff to meet training and quality goals.
  • Coach and lead employees through effective feedback via Operations Supervisors.
  • Monitor and evaluate operations and develop, modify, and implement action plans to maximize efficiency.
  • Manage personnel functions including hiring, work assignment, direction, development, training, discipline, termination, and personnel records.
  • Partner with the Center Manager on budget preparation and oversee the facility to achieve production and quality targets within the agreed cost structure.
  • Delegate, monitor, and hold Operations Supervisors accountable for performance.
  • Direct and supervise employees, including creating and managing work schedules.
  • Maintain the ability to perform all center tasks and fill production roles when needed.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment condition.
  • Manage freezers, oversee plasma shipments and equipment failures, and respond appropriately to freezer alarms.
  • Develop and implement donor recruitment advertising campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP requirements.
  • Direct donor selection, plasma collection, and manufacturing records to maintain production standards.
  • Build rapport with donors to support satisfaction and long-term donation.
  • Control center donor funds and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Inform the Center Manager of irregularities and provide corrective action plans.
  • Minimize center liability through risk management reviews and investigate unsafe situations and complaints.
  • Direct and monitor outside vendors
  • Review and monitor special projects for accuracy and timely completion
  • Work with the Center Manager to implement the donor center’s mission in the community
