Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Oklahoma City seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to determine donor eligibility, review tests, and manage donor safety under physician guidance. You will support vaccination programs and respond to adverse events in a fast-paced plasma center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completed nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified as LPN/LVN in the responsible state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for concerning findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance where applicable.
• Possibly serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
