Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Tulsa, OK seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to oversee donor eligibility, donor safety, and center operations. You will work under the Center Manager for operations and under the Center Physician for medical issues.

You must hold LPN/LVN licensure, CPR/AED certification, and have at least two years of clinical experience. The role includes participating in vaccination programs and following EHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program with state requirements.
• LPN or LVN licensure/certification in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, confidential self-exclusion, medical history, physical exam, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs.
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies and center orders; arrange donor transport.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
