BioLife Plasma Services in Lemon Grove, CA is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to ensure safe donor screening, testing review, and adverse event management. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance to support regulatory compliance and patient safety.

The role requires RN/NP/PA licensure, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years of clinical experience, with basic IV therapy training and FDA-mandated BioLife training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: RN, NP or PA.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage medical emergencies with standing orders and donor transport as needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations related to pandemics.
