Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Lemon Grove seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, manage donor safety, and participate in donor notification of test results under the supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires nursing licensure (RN/NP/PA), CPR/AED certification, and at least two years of clinical experience, plus FDA training for BioLife Medical Support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited nursing program with state licensure.
• Current RN/NP/PA license in the practice state.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for IV therapy.
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, and donor history.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage worker incidents and coordinate with EHS for follow-up.
