Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support donor screening and center operations.

You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and respond to donor safety issues under the supervision of the Center Physician.

This role requires RN/NP/PA licensure, CPR/AED certification, IV therapy training, and two years of clinical experience; BioLife offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed nursing professional with state requirements.
• CPR and AED certified.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines for plasma collection.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including consent, medical history, exam and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs and incident management as applicable.
