Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor reactions, and collaborate with physicians and Medical Affairs to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.

You will also assist with employee health programs, incident reporting, and pandemic response as needed, reporting to the Center Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to include graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed or certified as LPN/LVN in the state of responsibilities.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Basic IV therapy knowledge/ability to perform IV therapy.
• Complete FDA- approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and confidentiality.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as applicable.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu).
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and coordinate investigations as needed.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
