Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Webster, TX. You will safeguard donor health by determining eligibility, reviewing medical histories, and overseeing adverse events within regulatory guidelines.

Under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance, you will support donor testing, vaccination programs for staff, and incident reporting. Join a team focused on quality, safety, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified as LPN/LVN in the responsible state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program completion.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.
• Complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and assess need for occupational health/ER evaluation.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
