Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Broken Arrow, OK, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results in a regulated environment.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, with responsibilities spanning donor safety, vaccination programs, and coordination with EHS. This is a full-time, on-site role with weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with state nursing licensure requirements.
• Current LPN or LVN license in the state of assignment.
• CPR and AED certification.
• FDA-trained BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and eligibility criteria.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs and coordinate with Center Physician.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings and guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and coordinate as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
