Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Oklahoma is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations and ensure donor safety. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, and review lab results, reporting outcomes to the Center Manager and Center Physician as needed.

The role requires state nursing credentials, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years of clinical experience, with weekend rotation and compliance to SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program credentials and state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified as EMT-Paramedic in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements where licensed.
• Complete FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital work experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma and manage donor adverse events.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Operate under Center Manager guidance for medical issues and SOPs.
• Follow center physician guidance for emergencies and EMS transport.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs as applicable.
