Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary in Georgia, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and communicate unsuitable findings under physician guidance.

Role requires nursing qualification and clinical experience; you will work under Center Manager and Center Physician oversight and contribute to safety and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; nursing education as applicable.
• Licensed LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certifications; IV therapy knowledge.
• FDA training completion for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history, and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage emergencies and transports.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS for follow-up.
• May serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
