BioLife Plasma Services in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support donor eligibility, review of test results, and donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician. This full-time on-site role involves adherence to FDA training and EHS requirements while supporting relations with BioLife and Takeda's framework.

The role requires an RN/NP/PA license, CPR/AED certification, and two years in a clinical setting, with an hourly wage range offering

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent to include graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: RN, NP or PA.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Mansioni

• Determine donor eligibility; include informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs.
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies including center physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needing guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.
