Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Washington state is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor eligibility, monitor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests. The role operates under the Center Manager and Center Physician for medical guidance.

You will support regulatory requirements, participate in vaccination programs, and assist with EHS-related activities. Strong clinical experience preferred, with EMT licensure and nursing program background.

Qualifications

• Licensed EMT-A and EMT-P in the applicable state.
• CPR and AED certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent incl. nursing program equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and informed consent, review medical history, physical exam, and tests per SOPs.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies with center physician guidance.
• Refer complex medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Potentially serve as Pandemic Coordinator as authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
