Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Washington state is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, manage donor safety during adverse events, and coordinate with center physicians and BioLife Medical Affairs for medical decisions.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed or certified in EMT-A and EMT-P in the applicable state.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; nursing program education preferred.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, history, physical exam, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies following SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
• Manage employee incidents and escalate per occupational health guidance.
• May serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
