Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results.

Under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician, you will ensure compliance with plasma collection regulations, assist with emergency procedures, and support vaccination programs for staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed or certified in the responsibility state (EMT/B-A-I-P) or a nursing license.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history interview.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage medical emergencies with standing orders and transport as needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS guidance.
