Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or higher.
• Current state licensure/certification as EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN or RN.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Completion of FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and screening.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Potentially act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Licensed nurse or EMT/paramedic certification

CPR and AED certification

FDA BioLife Medical Support Specialist training

Two years clinical/hospital experience
