BioLife Plasma Services, LP is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Jacksonville, FL. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and support plasma center operations under the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You will ensure donor safety and participate in vaccination programs and incident management. Applicants should hold EMT-Paramedic licensure, current CPR/AED, and familiarity with FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed/certified in the state of responsibilities: EMT-Paramedic.
• CPR and AED certification are current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy and FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, education, history interview, and physical examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and Center Physician standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical concerns.
• Support employee vaccination programs (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and assist as Pandemic Coordinator if authorized.
