Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP in Jacksonville seeks a Medical Support Specialist to help ensure safe plasma donations and center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and manage donor safety under the Center Physician's guidance, with strict adherence to regulations and BioLife SOPs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Center Manager and Medical Affairs, supporting vaccination programs and incident investigations, while maintaining high standards of quality

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Familiar with plasma center procedures and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidentiality, medical history and physical exam.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs and Center Physician orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unresolved medical issues or guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Oversee occupational health/ESN incidents and coordinate with EHS as needed.
