Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist AEMT to support plasma center operations in Belton, MO. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires EMT licensure (B/A/I/P), CPR/AED certification, and two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a state-approved nursing program.
• Licensed or certified in the corresponding state: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, or EMT-P; LPN/LVN or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage donor adverse events and react to clinical findings per SOPs.
• Review lab results and notify donors of unsuitable tests as needed.
• Refer complex medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and coordination with EHS.
• Manage employee incidents and escalate to occupational health or EHS as required.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
