Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Newark, DE seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations, determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will evaluate donor reactions, follow SOPs for emergencies, and coordinate with Medical Affairs/EHS as needed. A nursing or EMT license and clinical experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P or RN/LPN license
• Current CPR and AED certification
• High school diploma or equivalent; nursing program graduate
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• FDA training as BioLife Medical Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, screening, and SPE review
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
