Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Newark, DE, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and assist the Center Physician in medical issues.

You will work under Center Manager guidance, ensure compliance with regulations, participate in vaccination programs, and coordinate with BioLife Medical Affairs. This role requires clinical experience and state licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program required.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, medical history, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage emergencies and transports.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations.
