Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations and donor safety at the Bloomington location. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and respond to adverse events under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Required licensure in the state and current CPR/AED certification, with clinical/hospital experience. Position emphasizes regulatory knowledge and collaboration with Medical Affairs and EHS teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the state of responsibility (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification. Sullivan/IBL? (if applicable).
• Familiar with FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history interviews.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and incident investigations as applicable.
