Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Newark, DE, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (EMT-B or higher licensed) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review medical histories, and respond to adverse donor events in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a recognized nursing program.
• Currently licensed EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P or LPN/LVN or RN as applicable.
• CPR and AED certification current; state IV therapy qualifications met.
• FDA approved BioLife training completed for Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for concerning findings.
• Support vaccination programs and incident management per EHS guidance.
