Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to oversee donor eligibility, safety, and medical documentation at the Lenexa plasma center. You’ll work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliant procedures and donor well-being.

Responsibilities include managing donor tests, adverse events, and communications with Medical Affairs, while supporting EHS and vaccination programs for staff. This role requires clinical experience and relevant state licenses.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in-state: EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and physicals.
• Review laboratory tests and safety results; notify donors accordingly.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies with SOPs.
• Consult Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health/ER processes.
