Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Mesquite, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You will work within regulatory guidelines for plasma collection, assist with vaccination programs, incident management, and support EHS initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current active licensure or certification in the state of assignment (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview and eligibility review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
