Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist for its Mesquite, TX center. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under a Center Manager and Center Physician.

You will support vaccination programs and occupational health processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety in a fast-paced plasma collection environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and nursing program requirements.
• Current EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P licenses in the responsible state.
• LPN/LVN or RN licensure as applicable.
• CPR and AED certification on file.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including consent, medical history, and testing reviews.
• Assess donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Refer non-qualifying findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; participate in pandemic readiness.
