Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist who determines donor eligibility, manages donor adverse events, reviews laboratory results, and notifies donors of unsuitable test results. The role reports to the Center Manager and Center Physician for clinical guidance and compliance with plasma collection regulations.

You will support vaccination programs for employees, coordinate with Medical Affairs for medical issues, and ensure donor safety and quality

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the state for corresponding role: EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility incl. informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, and medical history.
• Review physical exams and lab results; notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health/EHS guidance.
