Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in USA TX Mesquite is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires healthcare licensure (EMT/paramedic or RN/LPN) with CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and liaise with occupational health/EHS as needed.
