Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a utility person to support plant operations across housekeeping, maintenance, production, and equipment operation. You will monitor plant conditions during operation, perform routine maintenance, and help maintain overall plant cleanliness and organization.

This hands-on role requires teamwork, a strong safety focus, and a willingness to operate mobile equipment as needed. You will also be exposed to challenging working conditions and must be able to work irregular

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in equipment operation, plant operation, or maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret gauges/dials and make competent processing decisions.
• Dependable and self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work irregular shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading and shipping.
• Plant cleaning and lubrication.
• Assist with preventive and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
• Must be willing to cross train in all plant areas.
• Operate plant-specific mobile equipment such as Bobcat, Kubota, RTV, etc.
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain maintenance log.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude toward teammates and customers.
• Maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.
