Job summary

The Martin-Marietta Utility Person supports plant operations across housekeeping, maintenance, and production. You will help monitor conditions, grease and lubricate equipment, and keep the plant clean and organized.

This hands-on role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability, with opportunities to operate equipment and assist with daily needs to ensure safe and efficient performance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of equipment operation, plant operation, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read gauges/dials and make competent decisions related to processing equipment.
• Willing to work irregular shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
• Must follow safety rules and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading and shipping.
• Plant clean-up and lubrication.
• Assist with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
• Must be willing to cross train in all plant areas.
• Operate plant-specific mobile equipment such as Bobcat, Kubota, RTV, etc.
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain maintenance log.
