Martin Marietta is seeking a safety-conscious Utility Person to join our team in a plant environment. The role involves maintenance, equipment operation, and supporting production and quality control.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and experience in the building materials industry preferred. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork with opportunities to train others and contribute to site upkeep.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position.
• Experience in the building materials industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment, including cutting and welding under supervision.
• Conduct daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance logs.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers/front end loaders to clean around plant equipment and maintain roadways.
• Operate a water truck to limit airborne dust.
• Participate in production, loading/shipping and quality control activities.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe traffic flow on site.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
